Senior Technical Specialist and Scheme Manager

I have been working for BSI since January 2020 as a Technical Specialist and Scheme Manager. I appreciate working in an international environment and being able to learn new ways of doing things every day.
In my role as Technical Specialist, I have to ensure that technical documentation for IVDR certification applications conforms to the regulation requirements. I have exposure to a wide range of IVDs, something I find fascinating. My other role as Scheme Manager consists of guiding clients on the different steps to achieve certification for their IVD portfolios. I have the opportunity to establish relationships with these clients and get to see the key role that BSI plays in certifying their products.
Before I joined BSI, I spent 16 years working in the IVD industry in the fields of DNA sequencing at Illumina and Haemostasis at Grifols as an R&D Scientist and R&D Manager. Coming from a full technical background, I am happy to see how my learning curve in regulatory has progressed during my time at BSI, thanks to the extensive training opportunities within the company. In the coming years, I am very much looking forward to seeing how the team thrives and overcomes all the challenges in the IVDR world.
