Simon Lidgate PhD has a masters in Electronic Engineering and a PhD in electromagnetics and numerical modelling. He spent 7 years working with AIMDs and MRI scanners, developing brain image processing techniques and DBS implantation tools. Since 2015 he has been reviewing Active Implantatbles in BSI performing both technical and clinical reviews, leading the AIMD clinical team, and more recently involved in the setup of Software as a Medical Device capability within BSI,
